5 years ago in a small jazz club in Los Angeles, I watched Frank Gambale's amazing musical set, and had my first experience with...hummus. That night I thought my first would be my last. To me, it rivaled the taste of my shoe, or manure, or...you get the picture. Very unpleasant.
Times have changed, and maybe my taste buds have too. The memories of the manure hummus are long gone. Today, Hummus and Squash and Zucchini (Oh My!) does not elicit the same fear as "Lions and Tigers and Bears (Oh My!) did for Dorothy on her journey to see the Wizard.
So, who would have thunk it? For a snack today I ate sliced raw Squash and Zucchini and dipped it in Hummus...and I didn't feel cheated, and I really actually liked it, and I am even craving more.
In any case, all this dramatic build up is to say that I'm doing just fine eating healthy today and still on the wagon, after a whole 3 days.
